Meet Veronica!

Founder • Author • Educator • Somatic SEL Architect

Veronica Vasquez Garcia is the creator of the Somatic SEL Framework™ and founder of Elysiran™, an education and licensing company advancing movement-based emotional wellness.

Her programs and methods are used across schools, regional centers, early childhood settings, senior wellness programs, adult disability agencies, and community organizations.

She is also the Founder & Executive Director of JMM Dance Co.™, a nonprofit dedicated to inclusive, adaptive dance programs for youth and adults with diverse needs.

Her work blends somatics, trauma-informed care, SEL development, neurodivergent support, and movement education to help people build emotional regulation, confidence, and belonging, through the body.

Hi, I’m Veronica

And I believe the body is the doorway to transformation.

When I opened my first studio at 19, people assumed what made my classes different was the choreography. But it was somatic connection, emotional awareness, nervous system safety, and a deep belief in every student’s brilliance.

My own life began with a miracle. Born without oxygen, declared gone, and revived only after a final attempt, movement became my medicine long before I had language for it. It helped me navigate asthma, chronic illness, sensitivity, trauma, and the weight of leadership.

Later, burnout and bankruptcy forced a hard reset. It wasn’t failure, it was redirection. I stepped out of the studio model and into a broader purpose:
teaching movement as emotional intelligence, not performance.

Then my son’s autism diagnosis transformed my work again, his sensory journey inspired the adaptive frameworks I now teach and license around the country.

Today, everything I build is rooted in somatics, regulation, access, and dignity.

I believe in emotional safety, trauma-responsive learning, access, and human dignity.

And I believe we are meant to heal, through movement, not despite it.

If you’re seeking training, partnership, certification, speaking, or organizational licensing, I would be honored to work with you.
